Blog #2 – 4 Tips for Transitioning with When Out of Town

When out of town for work or family purposes, consider tapping into the local community to connect with counterparts to your life back home. Following are four tips to ease the transition into a new community to help keep personal balance.

1. Maintain the same planner and “to do list” as always.

2. Exercise, even if it only involves walking in your “new neighborhood”. This helps with grounding.

3. Connect with your regular affiliations there, (e.g. support groups, clubs, churches).

4. Tap into your online community through social media or with family and friends on your cell.

When you return home, move comfortably  into your daily routine, exercise program, groups and relationships. Here’s to seamless transitioning when arriving and departing. Welcome home.
